Carbon sailing platform

The 2024 Nautor Swan 88 is the first yacht built in the Swan 88 series and carries a full-carbon SPRINT pre-preg hull. A Hall Spars hybrid-modulus mast, continuous carbon-fibre standing rigging and Reckmann hydraulic furling systems form the core of its sail-handling specification.

The deck equipment includes upgrades beyond the standard Swan 88 configuration, while additional MCA/MGN 280 Category 2 features are incorporated into the yacht’s specification. The deck arrangement separates sailing operations from guest areas, preserving clear working zones under sail.

Hybrid-electric propulsion

The Nautor Swan 88 uses an integrated Torqeedo Deep Blue hybrid-electric propulsion system with a 129 kW electric drive and approximately 160 kWh of battery capacity. The system supports hydrogeneration while sailing and supplies onboard systems without reliance on generators.

The hybrid installation reduces onboard noise and vibration levels while the yacht is under electric propulsion. The 24 V electrical circuit is complemented by a fuel capacity of 739.68 gallons and water capacity of 396.26 gallons.

Interior arrangement

The interior places the owner’s suite forward, with guest accommodation arranged amidships and a spacious saloon at the centre of the yacht. Four bathrooms serve the accommodation layout.

Dedicated crew quarters sit aft with separate access. The yacht has four guest cabins and two crew cabins, creating distinct guest and crew areas within the 87-foot monohull.

Dimensions and location

The composite monohull measures 87.07 feet overall, with a 22.28-foot beam and a maximum draft of 13.12 feet. The Nautor Swan 88 is located in Newport, Rhode Island.
