This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the NoveSea Private Yacht Collection website, yacht listings, inquiry forms, NoveSea Buyer Watch, saved yacht searches, tracked-yacht alerts and related communications available through https://www.novesea.com/yachts-for-sale/.
It does not govern the separate NoveSea online store, which is covered by its own Privacy Policy.
About the NoveSea Private Yacht Collection Service
NoveSea Private Yacht Collection presents yacht information and coordinates inquiries through an international brokerage and listing-representative network. The website does not complete yacht sales, accept yacht purchase payments or provide a credit application.
When you submit an inquiry, NoveSea may respond directly and, when you expressly authorize us to do so, share your inquiry with the authorized representative for the selected yacht or with a representative for a suitable comparable yacht.
The website may also provide NoveSea Buyer Watch, an optional service that allows you to save a yacht search or track a specific yacht and receive requested email alerts when NoveSea detects relevant verified events, such as a newly available yacht matching your saved search or a verified price reduction for a yacht you are tracking.
Using Buyer Watch does not, by itself, constitute a yacht inquiry and does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated promotional or general marketing communications.
Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the website and the information you choose to provide, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact information: full name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number.
- Professional information: company, organization or family office, when provided.
- Location and communication preferences: country or region, time zone and preferred contact method.
- Yacht inquiry information: the yacht you are interested in, questions submitted, requested specifications, availability or viewing requests and other details included in your message.
- Purchase preferences: approximate purchase budget and intended purchase timeline, when provided.
- Current yacht information: whether you currently own a yacht and its builder, model and year, when provided.
- Buyer Watch information: your email address, the type and status of a Buyer Watch, the yacht being tracked, saved-search criteria and filters, associated yacht or inventory identifiers, confirmation status, unsubscribe status and timestamps associated with creation, confirmation, checking, delivery and cancellation of the watch.
- Buyer Watch price-monitoring information: where you choose to track a specific yacht, we may retain the relevant verified price, currency and price-change checkpoint needed to determine whether a later verified price reduction should result in an alert.
- Consent and preference records: records showing that you accepted or were presented with the applicable Privacy Policy, confirmed a Buyer Watch, withdrew or changed a communication preference and, where applicable, authorized NoveSea to share an inquiry with an authorized yacht representative.
- Technical and security information: IP address or a security value derived from it, email-address security hashes, browser and device information, submission timestamps, page address, referral information, rate-limiting counters and records used to prevent spam, fraud, duplicate communications or misuse.
- Buyer Watch delivery and operational records: alert type, relevant yacht identifier, queued, attempted, sent, failed, suppressed or otherwise unresolved delivery status, limited diagnostic or error information and technical identifiers used to prevent duplicate alerts and maintain reliable delivery.
- Analytics and advertising information: cookie identifiers, campaign parameters and advertising attribution identifiers when the applicable technologies are enabled and permitted by your privacy choices and applicable law.
- Communication records: emails, inquiry history, internal notes and follow-up communications relating to your request.
Required fields are identified in the applicable form. Optional information is provided at your discretion. Please do not submit sensitive personal information that is not reasonably necessary for your yacht inquiry or Buyer Watch request.
The yacht inquiry and Buyer Watch forms do not request or collect full payment-card numbers, banking credentials, Social Security numbers or yacht purchase payments.
How We Collect Personal Information
We may collect personal information:
- directly from you when you complete an inquiry form, create or confirm a Buyer Watch, save a yacht search, track a yacht, unsubscribe from an alert, contact us or communicate with our team;
- automatically from your browser or device when you access or interact with the website or submit a website form;
- through our own website systems when Buyer Watch monitors a confirmed saved search or tracked yacht and records the status of an eligible alert event;
- from service providers that support website hosting, security, email delivery, analytics, advertising or customer communications;
- from an authorized listing representative when they respond to, update or assist with your inquiry.
How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- receive, review and respond to your yacht inquiry;
- provide available specifications and confirm current yacht availability;
- coordinate private viewings and communications with authorized representatives;
- identify suitable comparable yachts when requested or authorized;
- create, confirm, maintain and operate a Buyer Watch that you specifically request;
- compare confirmed saved-search criteria against newly available or updated yacht listings;
- monitor a specifically tracked yacht for a verified price reduction;
- send confirmation emails and the Buyer Watch alerts associated with a watch you have requested and confirmed;
- maintain unsubscribe and suppression records so that a stopped Buyer Watch does not resume unintentionally;
- prevent duplicate, stale or incorrectly attributed Buyer Watch alerts;
- maintain inquiry, communication and consent records;
- manage follow-up communications and our private inquiry workflow;
- protect the website, prevent spam, fraud and abuse and investigate technical problems;
- rate-limit repeated submissions or confirmation requests and protect email recipients from abusive or unauthorized requests;
- measure website performance and improve the user experience;
- understand advertising or campaign performance where analytics or advertising technologies are permitted;
- comply with applicable legal requirements and protect our legal rights.
We do not use the inquiry form or Buyer Watch to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
Buyer Watch performs automated matching and monitoring only for the limited purpose of identifying yacht events that correspond to a watch you requested. It does not make purchasing, financing, eligibility or brokerage decisions about you.
NoveSea Buyer Watch, Saved Searches and Yacht Alerts
NoveSea Buyer Watch is an optional service. You may use it to:
- save a yacht search and request email notifications when new yacht listings match the search criteria you selected; or
- track a specific yacht and request an email notification when NoveSea verifies an eligible price reduction for that yacht.
Buyer Watch requires an email address and confirmation before alerts become active.
When you request Buyer Watch, NoveSea sends a confirmation email to the address you provided. The confirmation link generally expires after 24 hours. A watch does not become active merely because a confirmation link is automatically visited by an email-security system; confirmation requires an additional affirmative action.
For security, the raw confirmation credential is not retained as a reusable plain-text password. Technical cryptographic or hashed verification values may be stored to validate the request safely.
A confirmed saved search stores the search criteria necessary to reproduce the requested search. A tracked-yacht watch stores the identifiers and limited verified pricing information necessary to determine whether an eligible price reduction has occurred.
Buyer Watch alerts are limited to the watch you requested. Using Buyer Watch does not, by itself, enroll your email address in unrelated NoveSea marketing campaigns.
Each Buyer Watch confirmation or alert communication provides a method to stop that watch. You may withdraw from a Buyer Watch at any time. You are not required to create an account or password in order to stop a Buyer Watch.
NoveSea may suppress an alert instead of sending it when the underlying yacht is no longer eligible, the subscription is no longer active, delivery safety cannot be established or the system cannot reliably determine that the alert has not already been attempted.
Because yacht information may change at the source, Buyer Watch alerts are informational only. Yacht price, availability, specifications and listing status remain subject to confirmation with the authorized listing representative.
Buyer Watch is not a continuous real-time market-monitoring guarantee. Alerts depend on information becoming available to and being verified or processed by NoveSea systems.
Buyer Watch and Yacht Representatives
Creating a Buyer Watch, saving a search or tracking a yacht does not, by itself, authorize NoveSea to send your Buyer Watch email address or saved-search criteria to a yacht listing representative.
Buyer Watch subscriptions are operationally separate from yacht inquiries.
If you later submit a yacht inquiry and expressly authorize NoveSea to share that inquiry with an authorized representative, the sharing provisions described below apply to the information submitted as part of that inquiry.
Sharing Your Inquiry with Yacht Representatives
If you select the authorization checkbox in the inquiry form, NoveSea may share the information reasonably necessary to handle your request with:
- the authorized listing representative for the yacht identified in your inquiry; or
- an authorized representative for a suitable comparable yacht when the selected yacht is unavailable or another yacht may reasonably match your request.
The information shared may include your name, contact details, company or family office, country or region, time zone, purchase preferences, current yacht information, message and the yacht associated with your inquiry.
We share this information for the purpose of responding to your request, confirming availability, providing yacht details or coordinating a viewing or further discussion. We do not authorize representatives to use your information for unrelated purposes merely because it was received through NoveSea.
Authorized listing representatives and brokerage businesses may operate independently from NoveSea. After receiving your information, they may process it under their own legal obligations and privacy practices.
Other Service Providers and Disclosures
We may disclose personal information to service providers that perform services on our behalf, including:
- website hosting and technical infrastructure providers;
- email delivery and communication providers used to send inquiry communications, Buyer Watch confirmations and requested Buyer Watch alerts;
- security, spam-prevention, rate-limiting and fraud-prevention providers;
- analytics and website-performance providers;
- advertising platforms where advertising technologies are enabled and permitted;
- professional advisers, including legal, accounting or compliance advisers.
These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are expected to protect it appropriately.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, court order or lawful government request; investigate misuse; protect users, NoveSea or third parties; or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
If NoveSea or this division is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing or transfer of assets, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
Analytics, Cookies and Targeted Advertising

Legal Bases for U.K. and European Visitors

- Legal claims: when necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Where Buyer Watch email communications are based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by stopping the applicable Buyer Watch or contacting us.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn or processing that remains necessary under another lawful basis.
Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- handle and follow up on your inquiry;
- operate a Buyer Watch that remains active at your request;
- maintain accurate consent, confirmation, unsubscribe and communication records;
- prevent duplicate, unsafe or abusive communications;
- support a continuing yacht search or professional relationship;
- prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate submissions;
- comply with legal, accounting or recordkeeping requirements;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Buyer Watch confirmation links generally expire after 24 hours.
Unconfirmed or unsubscribed Buyer Watch subscription records are generally eligible for automated cleanup after approximately 30 days once they are no longer associated with retained delivery records.
Terminal Buyer Watch delivery records, including sent, failed, suppressed or indeterminate delivery outcomes, are generally eligible for automated cleanup after approximately 180 days.
An active Buyer Watch may be retained while it remains active so that NoveSea can continue providing the service you requested. When you stop a watch, further alerts from that watch are prevented, although limited technical, suppression, security or delivery records may remain temporarily for the retention periods described above or where otherwise required for legitimate legal or security purposes.
Retention periods for yacht inquiries and other records may vary according to the nature and status of the inquiry.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we delete, anonymize or securely de-identify it, subject to applicable legal and technical limitations.
International Data Transfers
NoveSea Marine is based in the United States. Yacht representatives and service providers may also operate in the United States or other countries.
As a result, personal information may be processed outside your country of residence, including in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where applicable law requires additional safeguards for an international transfer, we take reasonable steps to use legally recognized transfer mechanisms or other appropriate protections.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- receive a portable copy of certain personal information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- stop a Buyer Watch or other consent-based communication at any time;
- opt out of selling, sharing or targeted advertising where applicable;
- appeal a decision concerning a privacy request where applicable;
- submit a complaint to the competent privacy or data protection authority.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Buyer Watch subscription information is included in NoveSea’s processes for locating, exporting and deleting personal information associated with an email address where applicable.
How to Submit a Privacy Request
To exercise an applicable privacy right, email contact@novesea.com with the subject “Privacy Request – Yacht Collection”.
Please include:
- your full name, when relevant to the request;
- the email address or telephone number used in your inquiry or Buyer Watch;
- the type of request you are making;
- enough information for us to locate the relevant inquiry, Buyer Watch or other record.
We may request additional information when reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect your information from unauthorized access or deletion. We will not request more information than reasonably necessary for verification.
You may also use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We may request evidence that the agent is authorized to act for you.
Stopping a Buyer Watch through the stop or unsubscribe mechanism included in a Buyer Watch email does not require you to submit a separate general privacy request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse.
For Buyer Watch, these safeguards include measures designed to limit unauthorized subscriptions and duplicate delivery, such as confirmation requirements, cryptographic or hashed verification values, rate limiting, lifecycle and delivery identifiers, restricted delivery states and unsubscribe controls.
Buyer Watch confirmation credentials are designed so that the reusable raw confirmation secret is not stored as a plain-text authentication credential in the subscription record.
However, no website, transmission method, email system or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Please avoid sending confidential financial credentials or other highly sensitive information through the yacht inquiry form, Buyer Watch or ordinary email.
Children
NoveSea Private Yacht Collection is intended for adults considering yacht-related inquiries or transactions. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact contact@novesea.com so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Third-Party Websites
Yacht pages, Buyer Watch emails or other communications may contain links to websites operated by authorized representatives or other third parties.
NoveSea does not control the privacy, security or content practices of independent third-party websites. You should review the privacy policy of any third-party website before submitting information directly to it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our website, inquiry process, Buyer Watch functionality, service providers, security practices or legal obligations.
The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
Where Buyer Watch confirmation is pending, NoveSea may require a new confirmation if the applicable Buyer Watch consent terms or the Privacy Policy associated with that pending request materially change before confirmation.
Material changes may also be communicated through an additional notice where required by applicable law.
