Power and offshore range

The 2025 Yellowfin 42 Offshore carries quad Mercury Verado 400 V10 outboards, with 400 hp from each engine. A 576-gallon fuel tank, hydraulic power steering and high-performance K-Plane trim tabs form part of the running configuration.

The 42 Offshore has a 12-foot beam and a 1-foot, 10-inch draft. The performance package records a 45 mph cruising speed and a 68 mph maximum speed.

Helm, navigation and communications

The helm combines a Garmin 9224 multifunction display with a Garmin GSD28 sounder module, Airmar R509LHW 3 kW broadband transducers, Garmin GMR 1236 xHD3 open-array radar and a Garmin GXM-54 SiriusXM weather module. An ICOM M510 VHF, Mercury VesselView 703 display, compass and Garmin card reader complete the principal navigation and communication suite.

The electronics installation also includes a custom FLIR camera, dual spotlights, a Lumitec Razor 18-inch lightbar and Starlink. A GOST Nav Tracker 1.0 INS package is fitted.

Fishing deck and hardtop arrangement

The cockpit is arranged around an 80-gallon aft livewell with a window, a 530-quart macerated fish box and dedicated fish-box pumpouts. Best Marine Seachest pumps, baitwell pumps, two electric-reel outlets, gaff tubes and a saltwater washdown support the working deck.

The rod-holding inventory includes 24 titanium rod holders, 10 rod-holder cupholder combinations, two HD swivel rod holders and hardtop rod holders. Gemlux Bluewater outrigger bases and 22-foot external black outriggers extend the trolling setup.

The dual-row half-tower hardtop incorporates running lights, five LED spreader lights, multicolor LED lighting, grab rails and powder-coated pipework. A hull-side dive door with ladder, transom grab rails and a Garelick boarding ladder provide water-level access.

Seating, onboard comfort and domestic systems

The seating plan includes dual-row helm seating with triple headrests, a leaning post with rear-facing seat, forward seating with removable backrests, a forward table insert and a removable 50/50 rear bench. Capriccio white upholstery carries blue diamond hex stitching, while a five-drawer tackle station and a three-open-drawer tackle station organize smaller gear.

The console contains a deluxe electric head, shower and two 6-foot, 6-inch sleeping bunks. A Mase 4 kW generator with sound shield, 30A shore-power connection, 115V outlets, air conditioning and an electric grill supply the onboard amenities.

The anchoring arrangement pairs a drum-style electric anchor puller with a stainless-steel plow anchor, 475 feet of rope and 20 feet of chain. A bow thruster, freshwater washdown, pull shower and underwater RGB lighting add further capability around the deck.
