Power and command position

The 2024 Freeman 42 is configured with four Mercury 400 V10 outboards, for a stated 1,600 hp total. The catamaran hull is paired with a 42-foot overall length, an 11.75-foot beam and an 800-gallon fuel tank.

The helm carries two 24-inch Simrad multifunction displays, Simrad autopilot, a 6-foot open-array Simrad radar, two Icom VHF radios and VesselView. A black Edson steering wheel and Rok Charger complete the helm arrangement.

A Marlin tower adds full controls and a 12-inch Simrad multifunction display. Sionyx night vision and a large LED light bar add to the onboard electronics package.

Deck seating and finish

Double-row seating provides six captain’s chairs, while a rear-facing seat incorporates cooler boxes beneath. A large forward lounger is flanked by rod holders on both sides.

Light-gray diamond-stitched upholstery, black powder coating and Haze Gray hull sides give the 2024 Freeman 42 a coordinated exterior treatment. The hardtop underside is finished in Haze Gray, and the Deckit package extends across the deck.

The center-console arrangement includes a head within the console. An electric windlass is fitted at the bow.

Fishing equipment and deck lighting

Marsh Tacky carbon-fiber outriggers, a teak rocket launcher, transom rod racks and an additional rod rack aft of the hardtop form a focused fishing layout. A pump-box system is also fitted aboard.

Spreader lights, multicolor hardtop lights, under-gunwale lights and underwater lights provide layered illumination around the deck and hull. The tower, rod storage and open deck arrangement keep the working areas clearly defined.
