Flybridge Living

The 2024 Azimut Fly 53 brings its principal open-air setting to the flybridge, where a painted hardtop incorporates a retractable sunroof. A tinted acrylic windscreen shelters the forward bridge area, while an adjustable-backrest sunpad spans the space ahead of the upper helm.

Oversized U-shaped seating surrounds the flybridge dining table. The flybridge wet bar includes a Kenyon BBQ grill, sink and refrigerator, creating a self-contained setting for time on deck.

Salon and Aft Galley Connection

The aft portside galley forms the transition between the salon and cockpit. Triple sliding glass doors open the two areas into a flush-level indoor-outdoor space.

The galley combines a full-height refrigerator/freezer with a Miele induction cooktop and Miele convection oven/microwave. Custom cabinetry, dedicated crockery and glassware storage, and generous counter space complete the working arrangement.

The salon receives light through full-height windows and carries a C-shaped sofa to port with a two-seat sofa to starboard. A flat-screen television rises from a motorized Hi-Lo lift within the starboard cabinetry, while a premium audio system, 60,000 BTU Dometic air conditioning and LED dimmer lighting serve the interior.

Helm Systems and Performance

Twin Volvo Penta IPS 950 D11 engines power the Azimut Fly 53. The yacht has a stated top speed of 31 knots and an approximate cruising range of 260 to 280 nautical miles.

Both helm stations carry dual Garmin 8616 chartplotters, radar, depth sounding and autopilot integration. Volvo Penta joystick docking, Assisted Docking, Joystick Driving and Smart Throttles are integrated into the helm arrangement.

The Volvo Penta Assisted Docking System manages the yacht’s position and straight-line movements during docking. A secondary Volvo Penta joystick station in the cockpit adds an additional control point with clear visibility aft.

Cockpit, Water Access and Stability

The cockpit pairs a shaded bench seat with a large table and leads directly to the hydraulic swim platform. The platform supports tender launching and creates a broad waterside area at anchor.

A transom-accessed storage area includes air conditioning, a private head and a sink. Salon windows carry heat-reducing film.

A Seakeeper 9 gyro stabilizer reduces roll both underway and at anchor.
