Fishing-Focused Deck and Tower

The 2023 Contender 44 ST carries a custom full-gap tower with a folding buggy top, adding an elevated operating position while retaining a clean center-console profile below. A custom rocket launcher complements the fishing-oriented deck arrangement.

Forward seating and an XL forward coffin box with electric lift shape the bow area, while raw- and freshwater washdowns support day-to-day deck cleanup. A stainless-steel XL SeaChest system is installed aboard.

Triple Yamaha Power and Helm Control

Triple Yamaha 450 XTO outboards provide 1,350 hp, with 700 engine hours recorded. The 2023 Contender 44 ST has a reported maximum speed of 52 knots and a cruising speed of 38 knots.

Yamaha HelmMaster EX joystick control is fitted at the helm. A SeaKeeper 3 gyro stabilizer is also installed, alongside Llebroc Triple Mini Billfish helm seats with power slide.

Garmin Navigation and Communications

The helm is equipped with dual Garmin 8624 displays and Garmin 743xsv displays, with additional Garmin units in the tower. A Garmin 12 kW xHD2 open-array radar forms part of the navigation package.

Dual VHF radios serve the helm and tower positions. Lumitec lighting includes a Razor light bar, spreader lights and SeaBlaze underwater lights.

Onboard Amenities and Capacities

A Fusion stereo system with JL Audio speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers provides the onboard audio installation. An electric head with a holding tank, microwave and power inverter adds enclosed convenience below the console.

The fiberglass deep-V hull measures 43.83 feet overall with a 12-foot beam and a maximum draft of 2.25 feet. Tankage includes 600 gallons of fuel, 70 gallons of water and a 15-gallon holding tank.
