Coupe cruising with an open-air cockpit

The 2023 Bavaria R40 Coupe combines an enclosed coupe profile with a cockpit arranged for time close to the water. Suntex cockpit upholstery, a cockpit refrigerator and a table with folding leaves shape the social area, while exterior lighting includes underwater lights for evenings aboard.

A hydraulic lowerable swim platform extends the connection between the cockpit and the water. The mooring kit includes fenders and docklines, and the ground-tackle arrangement includes an electric windlass with remote control, chain counter, anchor and chain.

Volvo Penta diesel propulsion and close-quarters control

Twin Volvo Penta D6-380VC diesel engines turn twin DPI drives, with 760 hp recorded for the paired installation. Bennett trim tabs, an Aquamatic joystick and a bow thruster with an additional battery provide separate controls for running attitude and maneuvering.

The helm integrates a Simrad NSS evo3 12-inch multifunction display with Wi-Fi, Simrad 4G broadband radar and a Simrad RS40 VHF with AIS. A Simrad HS40 wireless remote, autopilot with heading compass, aft docking camera and remotely controlled searchlight complete the navigation and docking equipment.

Two-cabin accommodation

The interior has two cabins and two heads. The full-beam primary stateroom has an en-suite head and dedicated shower, while the forward VIP stateroom has its own en-suite head, dedicated shower and scissor berth.

Wenge flooring defines the salon, with Ultra Leather cushion covers and Venetian blinds throughout the interior. Cold-foam mattresses furnish the sleeping accommodations, and an electric cooktop supports onboard meal preparation.

Onboard services and Palmetto location

A Fusion MS-RA770 Apollo stereo with four speakers provides the onboard audio system. A 110V 50-amp shore-power connection supports dockside electrical service.
