Connected power and onboard systems

The 2022 Leopard 53 Powercat carries a six-battery RB lithium bank, a Victron Quattro 5000W inverter/charger, Victron Color Control GX and BMV712 battery monitoring. Four 380W coachroof solar panels work with two MPPT controllers, while additional 110V outlets extend shore-power access around the yacht.

A Spectra Newport 400 12V watermaker is rated at 16.6 gallons per hour. The communications installation includes roof-mounted Starlink RV wired to 110V, a Ubiquiti WiFi access point and gateway, and an onboard mini-PC with Pi-hole ad blocking.

Helm, navigation and close-quarters control

The helm is equipped with Quantum II radar on a dedicated bracket, Raymarine 700 AIS, and dedicated GPS and VHF antennas. A Dockmate yacht-control system forms part of the maneuvering equipment.

Three Ubiquiti security cameras monitor the yacht, with two positioned aft and one movable interior camera. A 50-inch Samsung television rises on an electric lift, accompanied by a surround soundbar and bass unit behind the sofa.

Deck spaces, shade and anchoring

The exterior arrangement includes a flybridge forward enclosure, cockpit shades in Boulder Grey Soltis 86 fabric, and black Soltis shades for the forward, port and starboard windows. Stamoid Pearl Grey covers protect the flybridge port sunpad, settee and forward seating, along with the helm seat, console and cockpit main-deck settees.

Upgraded bow sunpads incorporate added retaining rails. An Ultra Anchor with Ultra Flip Swivel is paired with 200 feet of stainless-steel anchor chain, while an electric windlass serves the ground-tackle system.

Tender and practical equipment

A Highfield 360 FCT rigid inflatable tender with side console and a 25HP Yamaha forms part of the onboard tender package. The watersports inventory also includes a BLU3 Nomad 30-foot snorkel system with spare battery, four mask, fin and snorkel sets, and a 12-foot fishing rod with 60-pound line and Shimano reel.

The 2022 Leopard 53 Powercat is fitted with one vessel-mounted EPIRB and four personal EPIRBs for life vests. A portable battery inflator, inflatable and hard fenders, a Wolfe high-pressure battery washdown, a Milwaukee tool package, and engine and generator spares support onboard upkeep.

Power catamaran configuration

The 2022 Leopard 53 Powercat measures 53.08 feet overall, with a 25.17-foot beam and a 3.17-foot maximum draft. Twin Yanmar 8LV370 engines provide 740 hp, with a 17-knot cruising speed and 24-knot maximum speed recorded for the yacht.

The fiberglass catamaran hull carries 562 gallons of fuel, 185 gallons of water and a 42-gallon holding tank. The yacht is located in Jupiter, Florida.
