Pod-drive performance and stabilization

The 2016 MJM 50z is powered by three Volvo Penta IPS600 engines delivering 1,305 hp through pod drives. The Deep Vee composite hull is paired with a stated cruising speed of 30 knots and a stated maximum speed of 37 knots.

A Seakeeper 9 stabilizer complements the running package, while Skyhook station keeping adds positional control at the helm.

Helm electronics and situational awareness

Two 16-inch Garmin multifunction displays and a 12-inch Garmin display at the companion side form the navigation suite. The Garmin installation includes AIS, weather, radar, cameras, engine information, fuel information and range information.

A FLIR night-vision system extends the helm’s visibility equipment, and Fusion satellite radio is integrated into the onboard entertainment arrangement.

Deck access and tender arrangement

The hydraulic swim deck and dinghy lift create a dedicated aft launching and stowage arrangement. A 2019 10-foot-6-inch RIB with console and a 25 hp Yamaha outboard accompanies the swim-deck setup.

Faux-teak decking gives the exterior deck surfaces a consistent finished appearance. The hull carries a Whisper Gray Awlgrip finish applied in 2019.

Onboard support systems

A Northern Lights 12 kW generator supplies onboard electrical support. The 2016 MJM 50z also carries a Miele Professional PW6068 Plus washer and dryer.

Two bathrooms, a 520-gallon fuel tank, a 170-gallon water tank and a 40-gallon holding tank are included in the yacht’s stated specifications.
