Helm Control and Running Systems
The 2015 Palm Beach Motor Yachts PB45 combines twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 pod-drive engines with joystick docking. A Dockmate wireless handheld docking control and a bow thruster add further close-quarters control, while two Quick X10AC gyro stabilizers are installed aboard.
Electric trim tabs include indicators. The helm carries a Garmin navigation package with an 8215 color LCD display, autopilot, GMR 18 radar, GSD 24 sonar and a P79 transducer.
Enclosed Cockpit and Deck Arrangement
An enclosed hardtop incorporates electric sliding windows to port, starboard and aft. The cockpit and extended swim platform feature teak inlay, and the cockpit includes a wet bar with Silestone countertops, an AC/DC refrigerator, freezer, sink and storage.
A hot-and-cold cockpit shower, designated glassware cabinet and icemaker complement the exterior entertaining area. Two Italian deck chairs and a removable high-gloss varnished teak table complete the deck furnishings.
Power, Climate and Onboard Services
Two air-conditioning units provide reverse-cycle heating aboard the PB45. A Fisher Panda 9 kVA generator, 2,000-watt inverter and 50-amp charger shore-power arrangement support the onboard electrical system.
A watermaker is installed aboard. The holding system incorporates a macerator and dockside discharge.
Practical Equipment and Finish
A custom black hull gives the yacht a distinctive exterior finish. An anchor windlass is paired with a stainless-steel Ultra Anchor for ground tackle.
A cockpit cover, windshield covers and deck-porthole covers provide exterior protection when the yacht is secured. A microwave/convection oven and dishwasher are installed aboard.
