Dual-mode hull concept

The 2014 Benetti Veloce 140 is built around Benetti’s Displacement to Planing (D2P) hull concept, combining displacement cruising with the ability to plane. Twin MTU 12V 4000 M93L engines deliver a stated 6,920 hp, with a cruising speed of 16 knots and a maximum speed of 24 knots.

The monohull measures 137.83 feet overall, with a 27.92-foot beam and a stated draft range from 6.58 to 7.92 feet. Fuel capacity is stated at 9,246 gallons, while freshwater capacity is stated at 1,320 gallons.

Exterior spaces by Stefano Righini

The exterior styling and concept carry the work of Stefano Righini, developed with naval architecture by Pierluigi Ausonio and Benetti’s R&D team. The proportions place a substantial 830-square-foot sundeck above the main living areas.

The sundeck incorporates a pool and provides a dedicated open-air setting within the yacht’s 140-foot profile.

Private accommodation and interior design

The accommodation arrangement includes six cabins and four crew cabins. The full-beam master stateroom incorporates a starboard-side balcony, extending the principal suite with a private connection to the water.

The interior design is by Redman Whiteley Dixon, with contribution from Joao Armentano. The interior layout pairs the master suite with generous entertaining spaces across the yacht.

Electrical and bridge systems

The yacht has undergone replacement of electrical wiring, lighting, bridge electronics and power converters. These works form part of a broader update to the yacht’s onboard electrical and navigation infrastructure.
