Vessel overview
The 2012 Viking 46 Convertible combines a teak cockpit, teak mezzanine deck, teak covering boards and coaming boards with a raised mezzanine seating area. The cockpit includes a transom livewell, bait freezer, refrigerated step, tackle drawers, gaff storage, six gunwale rod holders and split-lid in-deck fish boxes.
Rupp outriggers, a Rupp center rigger, recessed Miya Epoch US-9 HD electric teaser reels and a Release Marine teak battle saddle establish the fishing configuration. The cockpit also carries fresh- and saltwater washdowns, an Eskimo ice maker discharging to a fish box, a transom door and gate, and multicolor indirect lighting.
The flybridge places two Release Marine teak helm chairs behind a teak helm pod with Palm Beach single-lever controls and ZF electronic engine controls. Cushioned bench seating with storage, an insulated drink box, a three-sided Costa Marine enclosure and an aft canvas enclosure complete the bridge arrangement beneath the factory fiberglass hardtop.
The electronics suite includes three Simrad NSS16 Evo3S multifunction displays, a Simrad AP44 autopilot, Simrad HALO Plus 4-foot open-array radar, two Icom VHF radios, B285W CHIRP and Airmar CM599LM transducers, and a Fusion MS-RA670 head unit. A Simrad NSS9 Evo3S at the cockpit mezzanine provides an additional display and stereo controls.
Twin MAN V10-1100 inboard engines deliver 1,100 horsepower each through a direct-drive arrangement with ZF electronic-shift transmissions. The fiberglass modified-V hull incorporates propeller pockets, while Sea Star hydraulic power-assist steering, dual power-steering pumps and electronic trolling valves form part of the mechanical installation.
The engine room includes Racor fuel filtration, an oil-transfer system, fuel-transfer and priming pumps, raw-water sea strainers, engine-room sound insulation, two main-engine crash pumps and automatic fire suppression. Electrical support includes an Onan 17 kW generator, 12V and 24V DC systems, 110V/240V AC service, two 24V Mastervolt battery chargers, 50-amp shore power and a Glendinning Cablemaster.
The interior arranges three cabins and two heads around a salon and island galley. The primary stateroom contains a queen berth with storage below, maple-lined hanging and storage lockers, an overhead deck hatch, Cruise Air conditioning with SMX keypad control, and private access to a head with stall shower.
Port and starboard guest cabins each contain upper and lower berths, hanging lockers and storage beneath the lower berth. The salon combines an L-shaped Ultraleather sofa with storage, an L-shaped dinette with teak table, a custom teak coffee table, a Samsung 37-inch television, Bose surround sound, KVH satellite television, Starlink connectivity and an electric sliding salon door.
The galley features Corian countertops, an island counter with two bar stools, a concealed three-burner cooktop, under-counter Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer drawers, a Sharp Grill II microwave/convection oven, cabinet storage and a garbage disposal.
