Raised Saloon, Centre Cockpit and Helm Stations

The 2002 Nautor Swan Swan 112 SONG OF THE SEA combines a raised deck saloon with an expansive centre cockpit, creating a clear connection between the principal interior living space and the deck. The saloon provides panoramic outward visibility, while the cockpit is arranged with twin dining tables and settees.

Twin helm stations sit aft of the guest area, maintaining direct sightlines forward from each steering position. The yacht’s sloop configuration is paired with a Southern Spars carbon mast and furling boom.

Composite Construction and Sailing Configuration

SONG OF THE SEA is hull number three in a series of five Swan 112 yachts. German Frers drew the design, and Nautor’s Swan built the yacht in Finland.

The composite structure combines a single-skin glass/aramid hybrid laminate hull with carbon-fibre reinforcement and a GRP sandwich deck. The yacht is fitted with an MTU 6R 183 TE72 engine rated at 414 hp, with a stated cruising speed of 10 knots and maximum speed of 12.5 knots.

Interior Details and Guest Accommodation

Dick Young designed an interior finished with selected marbles, fine hardwoods and custom fabrics. The raised saloon incorporates formal dining, lounge seating, a concealed 42-inch television and a full-service bar finished with Volga Blue granite.

Four guest cabins accommodate up to ten guests, with four bathrooms serving the guest layout. The full-beam owner’s cabin is positioned aft and includes a private lounge and integrated media. Two crew cabins are also part of the accommodation plan.

Technical and Interior Renewal

SONG OF THE SEA underwent a technical and cosmetic programme between 2014 and 2016 that included repainting of the hull and superstructure, mast and boom servicing, propulsion-control upgrades and navigation-electronics upgrades.

The 2023/2024 Barcelona refit included a full rig inspection, new rod rigging, servicing of machinery, hydraulic and onboard systems, and installation of 5G radar and Starlink. The yacht also received refreshed LED lighting and headlining, galley and crew-area updates, new entertainment systems, serviced teak decks and deck hardware, updated running rigging and sail maintenance.
