Classic Feadship pedigree, renewed systems

The 1983 Feadship 55 combines a steel displacement hull and aluminium superstructure with exterior design by F. de Voogt and interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell. The yacht measures 55.50 metres, carries a 591 GT volume, and is based in Split, Croatia.

The 1983 Feadship 55 underwent a substantial 2025 refit programme that included new generators, a three-chiller air-conditioning plant, a new engine-control system, a full ECDIS navigation installation, rebuilt galley spaces, renewed interior finishes, upgraded audiovisual control, and a rebuilt garage arranged as a beach lounge.

Guest accommodation and living spaces

The main-deck master suite occupies the full beam forward and includes a king-size bed, seating area, dressing room, office area, walk-in wardrobes, and an en-suite marble bathroom with twin sinks and a Jacuzzi tub. A full-beam VIP suite aft includes a centreline king bed, an en-suite marble bathroom, and private access through the main salon.

The guest layout includes two double cabins with en-suite shower rooms and two twin cabins with en-suite bathrooms; one twin cabin converts to a single cabin. The 1983 Feadship 55 has six guest cabins and accommodates up to 12 guests.

The main deck incorporates a salon with a full bar and separate seating areas, a second forward salon, and a formal dining room with seating for 12. The yacht also has three exterior dining areas across the main aft deck, sundeck, and shaded upper deck.

Open-air decks and water access

The aft deck centres on a circular dining table for open-air meals. The sundeck combines a bar and barbecue forward, a padded sunning area, an outdoor dining table, and four aft sunbeds with windscreens.

The stern arrangement includes a garage converted into a beach lounge, while the yacht carries a 6.12-metre BSC tender with a Yamaha 150 hp outboard. A Nautical Structures 5.90-metre passerelle and side boarding ladders support access alongside.

Engineering, power and navigation

The propulsion installation comprises twin Caterpillar D399TA 12-cylinder turbocharged, after-cooled diesel engines, Reintjes reduction gearboxes, and five-bladed propellers. The yacht has a reported cruising speed of 14 knots, a maximum speed of 16 knots, and a reported range of 3,500 nautical miles.

The onboard utility systems include two 2025 John Deere 114 kWe generators, a 55 kW bow thruster, three air-conditioning chillers, two watermakers rated at approximately 500 litres per hour each, and a 73,000-litre fuel capacity. The navigation suite includes twin Furuno FAR-28×7 series radars, Furuno GPS and Doppler speed-log equipment, and a Transas Navi-Sailor 300 system.

The communications inventory includes satellite, Iridium, VHF, UHF, HF/MF SSB, GMDSS, cellular, and onboard telephone systems. The safety installation includes fixed FM200 fire suppression, fire and bilge pumps, fire alarms, smoke detectors, life rafts, EPIRB equipment, and CCTV coverage across the decks.
