Vessel overview
Sultana was built by De Vries at the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, and was delivered in 1969. The 1969 Feadship 25.8m | 85ft belongs to the Caravelle-era collaboration between Feadship and Carlo Riva, with a classic profile retained through later works.
Sultana underwent a major rebuild at Feadship’s Makkum yard in 2012. The rebuild combined a renewed interior with restored Gardner main engines and an updated onboard power-generation and storage arrangement.
Twin Gardner main engines drive the yacht through a direct-drive installation. Sultana has a stated cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 12 knots.
The electrical arrangement combines main-engine-driven alternators, batteries and diesel generators. The Gardner engines were rebuilt again during subsequent works, while the yacht also received a new generator and replacement lithium batteries.
Sultana’s later interior works included an enclosed galley, a dedicated laundry room, new carpets and wall linings, and revised access to the master cabin that created a private crew area on the bridge. An onboard AV system and Starlink were installed throughout the yacht.
The sundeck received new teak, while a full repaint refreshed the exterior finish. The main deck and sundeck remain central outdoor areas within the yacht’s classic layout.
The 1969 Feadship 25.8m | 85ft has a steel displacement hull, a beam of 19.39 feet and a maximum draft of 7.48 feet. Sultana is located in Antibes, Alpes-Maritimes.
